Boreham House is a stunning grade 1 listed mansion nestled in the Essex countryside. You approach this beautiful wedding venue by a stately avenue of trees, in between which there is the most amazing ornamental lake. The House itself boasts many original features. Decorative plasterwork, 24ft high ceilings. Original stone feature fireplaces and solid oak wood panelled rooms. The original house was built in 1730 for Benjamin Hoare Esq. The staircase was bought from New Hall and owned by Henry VIII from 1517 to 1547. In 1052 it was bought by The Ford Motor Company and used as a training facility, before going into private ownership again. It’s an amazing backdrop for your wedding. I particularly like the long lawn and the stone features at the front. The venue can accomodate large weddings of 300 plus.
