That Amazing Place wedding photographer. Alex and Sam. The girls get ready.
That Amazing Place is a relatively new venue in Old Harlow. I have photographed a bridal preparations there before, but Alex and Sam’s day was my first full wedding at this Essex venue. I’ve been really looking forward to this one. Not only are Alex and Sam a delightful couple, but also the venue has a lot of opportunity for wedding photography. Both inside and out.
When I arrived the girls were in full beautifying preparations mode, being pampered by Jo and Jo from The Perfect Marriage. Sam looking radiant and not al all nervous about the church ceremony in Nazeing. My good friends Dan and Julie from Mintyslippers were alongside me producing one of their stunning cinematic wedding films.
Alex and Sam chose a very pretty little Essex church. Yet another great minister who was very photography friendly. Infact, I can’t remember the last one who said “no cameras” hopefully I haven’t just jinxed this coming weekends double church weddings 🙂
Alex, other than Sam has another pride and joy in his life. He owns a stunning Ferrari 458 Italia, which was parked outside the church and nicely trimmed with ballons and ribbons. Alex looked very relaxed, awaiting the arrival of his beautiful bride, supported by his ushers and bestman.
I had a good point of view during the service and caught some great expression from Sam and the bridesmaids. After the service it was off to the venue.
Being That Amazing Place wedding photographer was something I was really looking forward to. The light was warm and crisp and the grounds at this venue are pretty spectacular. I set up some stylised groups under a red Beech tree with a shot of the guys, using some trick lighting, in the house.
The table setting looked incredible. I like the idea of the table plan being bottles of lemoncello. As did the guests 🙂
The evening didn’t dissapoint and gave us a little warm light for some wedding photography portraits in the gardens, then a few shots with the happy couple and Alex’s stunning Ferrari and of course, Ted…their very cute Daschund.
A superb day in the office for me. I throughly enjoyed meeting Alex and Sam and recording the story of their day at That Amazing Place.
