Aynhoe Park wedding photographer, Alice and Philip
Aynhoe Park is an amazing wedding venue. The styling inside and out has been created by owner and Fantasia dance party legend James Perkins. I love the juxtaposition of classic 17th century architecture and contemporary wire-mesh sculptures around the grounds. The inside is full of taxidermy on a large scale (zebra, bears, giraffes!) and an incredible collection of plaster casts.
Being a weddin photographer at Aynhoe Park is a real treat for me. There is just so much going on and so many wonderful facets to the building and the collection. I really like to work in the library, with some extra lighting to bring out the feel of the room and to add some glitz to the wedding photography.
The day started with the girls getting ready and being pampered by the brilliantly talented Cassandra Rizzuto. in an equally amazing suite at Aynhoe Park. I caught the arrival of Philip and the boys outside the main entrance, where they stopped to greet guests.
The service was in the bright orangery, overseen by a few giraffes in top hats! Afterwards, everyone stepped outside into warm sunshine for the drinks reception. A great opportunity for some natural wedding images of people relaxing and soaking up the warmth of the sun and equally warm atmosphere.
It’s no surprise that such a creatively styled venue would attract a creative couple like Alice and Philip, who both work in advertising. Being their wedding wedding at a venue bursting with opportunity was a real pleasure.
