Buxted Park wedding photographer
As I took the drive down from Chelmsford Essex to Buxted Park Sussex, it was plain to see that this was going to be a mostly indoor affair. Lashing it down and not looking like there was going to be much let up all day. However, that generally doesn’t stop people having fun. Helen and Phil definately not the type that were going to let the weather gods spoil their wonderful day.
My second assignment as a Buxted Park wedding photographer. I really like the place. The building has a lot of character as does Mark, the very French front of house. Amazing gardens with lots of opportunities (when dry!) The large veranda being a bit of a saving grace for a naturally lit area that’s dry and ideal for group wedding shots.
When I arrived the bridal preparations were well underway and spirits were high. A very cute little page boy who seemed to be stealing all the girls hearts. Helen had her dress fitted and looked wonderful and ready for the service.
Phil awaited the arrival of Helen in The Orangery. A great space with plenty of glass. Which was useful as it seemed to be getting even darker outside! The registrar who conducted the service was very good indeed. Eloquent, genuine and just the right tone….with a dash of humour.
Post service and the drinks. While this was happening I set up on the veranda for some groups. These flowed really well and we had the key shots in the bag in no time. This allowed me to get a nice shot of the guys in The Red Room with some lighting. Then, a few window light shots of the newly weds before the meal.
Expertly delivered speeches after the meal. Helen’s dad starting with a particularly great one that had the room in fits of laughter.
Once again rain failed to stop play. The warmth and laughter eminating from this stylish venue. A great day. Simon Carr – Buxted Park wedding photographer.
