Chigwell wedding photographer
A scorcher of a day to be the Chigwell wedding photographer for the wonderful James and Harriet. I have sot a number of weddings in Chigwell, Essex and a couple at St Mary’s.
First, the getting ready shots. I met Harriet and the girls at the reception venue. Harriet’s parents home. Absolutely stunning with a huge garden, ideal for a home wedding recption. There were some wonderful moments. Harriet giving the bridesmaids gifts. The moment Harriet’s dad saw her for the first time in her dress.
At the church James was looking very relaxed and supported by his brothers and ushers. The mercury was climbing. It was going to be a real hot one and perfect weather for an afternoon garden party.
Harriet arrived in a vintage white Rolls. Looking stunning and on time! James awaited the arrival of his bride at the front of the church. A wonderful service. This church always seems very photographer friendly and keen for the couple to get pictures of the service. As always I try to be as stealthy as possible, but catch all that wonderful emotion.
Back at the house Eden catering were adding their final finishing touches. The whole Chigwell house, garden and marque area looked amazing – a true playground for a wedding photographer. The guys arrived back at and I shot some natural story-telling images and seeked out a location for the group wedding photography.
I timed any couple shots to catch the best of the days light. This isn’t always evening. It’s a case of just looking and finding what works. One shot, a favourite of mine, was shot in a narrow path down the side of the house…the light just worked.
This was a memorable day for me. A great location in Chigwell. A super couple with equally warm friends and family.
Harriet, James, My best wishes for a lifetime full of happiness together.
