Leigh-on-Sea. A town that I know well. I used to live there and married my wife, Sarah at St Clements Church in the broadway. It’s a friendly place with a great vibe and a stunning backdrop for a wedding celebration. Add a generous dose of warm sunshine and a simply delightful couple. Rob. Calm, cool and gifted with a wicked dry sense of humour. Sacha, glowing and looking just stunning.
The day started for me with some bridal preparation pictures at Sacha’s family home. I met my good friend and ace film maker there Rupert-Ward Lewis. Ruperts work is just superb. He comes from an acting background, which shows in the cinematic feel of his work.
The house was buzzing with pre-wedding activity. In the Garden, the final preparations by the catering company for the garden reception party. Outside, a wedding horse and carriage awaiting Sacha and her father.
Guests began to arrive at Essex church St Clements, making for some great natural wedding pictures, as friends and family greeted each other. Rob and the guys took their places at the church, just in time as Sacha arrived early.
The library gardens made a suitable spot for the group wedding pictures before everyone took a stroll though Leigh, back to the reception.
Clouds broke and made way to warm sunshine. The perfect conditions for the drinks reception. I love these kind of weddings. Unique and personal.
A superb day, surrounded by some great characters and an equally great couple. Congratulations Rob and Sacha, it was a pleasure to photograph your wedding pictures in Essex. My best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together.
