Sheene Mill wedding photographer
This was my first booking as a Sheene Mill wedding photographer. What a wonderful place. The weather played a major role in the the day, adding to the waterside restaurants atmosphere and quaintness. Sheene Mill is in Royston, Cambridgeshire. A wonderful setting, for two fantastic people. Mark and Sarah.
I met Sarah at her parents house near Bishops Stortford. When I arrived, hair and make-up was well under way and the humour was flowing. Not a sign of wedding day nerves.
Mark and Sarah chose to marry in a modern Baptist church. It’s not very often that I work in these ultra-modern churches. My normal location being more of an Essex village or London affair that usually lacks light….so this was a nice change!
There were some great emotional moments after the service. It’s very much my style to hold back straight after the service and avoid anything posed. These warm moments of congratulations are, im my opinion, key to the story of the day.
Back at Sheene Mill, the sky was clearing and warm sunshine bathed the guests, while they enjoyed a cool glass of Champagne and canapes. It’s really a great layout at this venue – well from a Sheen Mill wedding photographer perspective. I like the white Gazebo, backlit by the afternoon sun. The high vantage point for a group shot of everyone and the open space.
The speeches were great. I always enjoy this part of the day! Just the right blend of sincerity and a dash of humour. Well, a bucket load by the best man.
Mark and Sarah….congratualtions to you both. It was a truely wonderful day and I throughly enjoyed playing a small part in it.
