The Savile Club wedding photography: Agnes and Alex.
I do enjoy London weddings. The Savile Club being one of my favourite venues for wedding photography. That stunning sweeping staircase, the galleries of vintage celebrity images, the cool light blue pastel colours against the warmth of the dark wood and glowing table lamps. The place oozes character and history.
Agnes and Alex married at St James’s in George St. Extremely grand inside and a warm haven for arriving guests to escape the, once again, rather poor weather. Infact, we battled with the weather gods all day. A ten minute window of opportunity was gladly taken for a quick trip to Regents Park for a few wedding photography portraits.
Back at the Savile Club we used the staircase for some family shots before, I went back to doing what I feel that I do best. Quietly keeping in the background and building a visual narrative of the day. Capturing the laughter, the expression and the emotion that builds a wedding story.
Agnes and Alex have been a pleasure to meet and work with. They share a wonderful sense of humour and I wish them many many happy years together.
